Boyko Kolev

More about the author

Boyko Kolev was born in 1968 in Sofia.

The artist builds his mastery after years of painting copies and studying the works of the great world artists. Among them are Leonardo da Vinci, Rafaello, Bryogel, Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte and many daggers.

It was as a copy master in 2005 that he presented his first exhibition "Reproduced" (copies of paintings and drawings by Leonardo da Vinci). The exhibition was opened by the great researcher of Leonardo's works - Tsvetan Tsekov - Karandas.

The words of Karandas during the opening of this exhibition also prove prophetic:

"This enormous school will give the artist Boyko Kolev outstanding technological and pictorial means, as well as great creative perspectives for his creative development in the field of free storytelling. This forecast is at the same time my wish for the artist's future, which I'm confident, going beyond any forecasts, and that's what we all want. "

The high appreciation of criticism and audience brings satisfaction to the artist and gives him the courage to open a new page in his professional development - modern works of art, full of the precision and stylistics of hyperrealism.
