Chavdar Valov was born in 1965 in Sofia. He graduated from the Art Academy in Sofia, in the studio of Prof. Nayden Petkov.
He is a representative of postmodern realism, unlike the tendencies to separate from traditional imagery in the direction of new forms and means of expression. The decorative-fabulous expression of his works has links with similar searches of some artists from the 1920s and 1930s, but the specific color, the personal worldview and the special oil technique give his painting a unique sound.
