Doncho Zankov

Doncho Zankov was born in Sevlievo. In 1921 he graduated from the Art Academy with Prof. Haralampi Tachev. He worked as a teacher in the village of Church, Pernik.

He has been teaching for many years in Sofia. He is a First Bulgarian Army during the First World War. At first he worked with watercolor, later with oil paint. He mainly draws high-mountain landscapes, often winter. He has made over 20 solo exhibitions showing mainly paintings. As a student, Zankov is one of the artists involved in painting the frescoes of the Alexander Nevski monument. He died on 14.02.1960. in Sofia.
