Edward Penkov (1962-2016) was born on January 7, 1962 in Lovech. Member of UBA, section Graphics. He has more than 10 solo exhibitions and many awards for his graphics - a regional prize for the National Allianz Bulgaria (2009) national competition, second prize at Ankara International Ex Libris Competition (2007), the 32nd Exhibition of the International Federation of Ex Libris Societies (FISAE ) - Beijing, China, 2008 - Honorary Prize, I International Exhibition with invitations FU XIAN ZHAI - Shanghai, China, 2007 - Honorary Prize, I International Biennale of Exlibris - Sofia, Bulgaria, 2003 - Sponsorship Prize Trud newspaper and others. Winner of the annual personal award "Lovech Sword 2002" for valuable achievements in the field of culture.
In 2016, the International e-Libris Competition Varna established "Special Prize for Special Creative Achievements" in the name of Edward Penkov.
