Andrian Bekyarov

We are accustomed to treating watercolor as a technique in which paintings are drawn in one breath". Andrian Bekyarov completely changes our perception of this approach and shares why he prefers realism as a means of expression:"About style, there is a difference between realism, hyperrealism, photorealism, and so on. What I do is realism. The old, classic realism of the past. I like old masters and learn from them because, in my view, their worldview is closest to nature. I work on the Flemish painting method, on many layers, firstly building things monochrome, and then applying the colors. But this is when I paint with oil paints, the watercolor is more immediate. Only the principles of rendering are common. Based on principles, I mean the things that have been discovered since the Renaissance, the airborne and airborne outlook discovered by Leonardo. "The result is sincere and exciting works."
